BRETT WOODWARD
Brett co-founded Blue Current Development in 2008 and is a Managing Partner. Over the past 20 years Brett completed $400M of real estate developments throughout the southeastern US.
Prior to founding Blue Current Development, Brett held senior positions with the I’On Company, Barkley Fraser Commercial, The Greenbrier Sporting Club and Twin Rivers Capital.
Brett attended the University of Georgia, then joined the US Navy where he was forward deployed to Atsugi, Japan and provided helicopter support for the Joint Forces in the Middle East and surrounding theatres of operation. After his departure from the Navy, he pursued his real estate career.
Brett, his wife and two children reside in Charleston, SC.
DANIEL SOMMER
Daniel is a Managing Partner at Blue Current Development, bringing over 20 years of experience in international real estate investment and development.
Daniel has executed on over $980M project volume in both Europe and the United States. He is also co-founder and Managing Partner of Charleston, SC based Bluefield Development, a residential development firm.
He previously was Managing Director at Altriarch Capital and Vice President at Dallas based International Capital focusing on the Texas and Sunbelt markets in multifamily, retail, mixed-use and land development projects.
Before moving to the United States, he was Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at an $800 million Irish investment firm focused on European markets.
Daniel started his career working at the United Nations Organization in Geneva, Switzerland working on international export focused programs for developing countries.
He holds an MBA from International Institute, Geneva, Switzerland and a BA from Portobello College, Dublin Business School, Ireland.
Daniel lives on Daniel Island, SC with his wife and their two children.
Cooper Fowler
Cooper co-founded Blue Current Development in 2008 and is a Managing Partner. Cooper started his professional career in the marketing world and as a real estate developer and investor.
He sold a successful web development and marketing firm and focused completely on real estate development and finance.
Cooper completed 350$M of retail, restaurant, multi-family, condo, office, mixed-use, and raw land development projects.
For four years, Cooper also worked in finance as a regional manager for Prime Solutions – a North Carolina based firm.
He currently serves on the board of Biscuitville, Inc. – a North Carolina-based restaurant chain and is a manager of his family’s real estate funds.
Cooper is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and lives in Charleston, SC with his wife Meghan and their five children.
